Shooting videos of Studes and other stuff

Dec 31, 2006 2 Replies

I need to buy a new video camera. My old VHS RCA unit crapped out on friday night. I've seen studebaker videos on You Tube,I don't know what equipment they use. I'm looking for suggestions on what is a wise choice of video camera these days. I'd like to be able shoot some drag racing footage of my Lark and be able to post it or make it into a disc and send it. In a way it is a good thing the old VHS unit died. I'm also wondering about recording in stereo as well. If anyone has any good suggestions and experience in this area please share them with me. I'm looking to spend up to $800 or so on a camera. My son and his band have been playing some gigs locally and I've been taping them for the band. It helps them a lot to see their mistakes so they can do a better job next time. Thanks for reading this and I appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks again, Joe

You should be able to find some reviews online for various cameras. For Youtube, you will need an editing program to convert your video to a smaller size. First try the progam that comes with your camera. If that is not good enough try Ulead's Video Studio 10

Thanks for the info guys. I'll be buying a camera sometime this week. At least I know more about these things than when I posted, and what I'll be needing,Thanks again, Joe
