Steering Box Adjustment

I have a rebuilt Studebaker Power Steering Unit in my 64 Daytona Convertible. it has a drift that is uncomfortable. It was originally built with manual steering and I have had the quicker steering installed. The steering box has been adjusted but it still feels very tight. There is no return at low speed and you can feel it bind for a split second. I was wondering if this could be the problem as you tend to over correct when you steer.

What is the proper method of adjusting the Steering Box in my convertible.

I tried to post this before but it didn't show up.

Thanks in advance.

I had that problem with my Hawk, after I replaced the horn wire. You have to make sure that the steering colum is actually straight from the box into the cabin. If it is slightly off center you will feel a bind, or lack of control, and the wheel will not return.
