On page #39 of the February 2009 edition of Land Rover World, their monthly cartoon strip "Ron of the Rovers" features a nice drawing of a R series truck with Manitoba plates on it. Perhaps someone else more knowledgeable than I can narrow down which year it's suppose to represent. My guess would be pre 1955. Chris Houck
