Today I finally got around to trying to install some Rockblocker film I had received as a 2008 Xmas gift! Can't really install it in cold weather, but i should've put it on in the spring. Still, I got the yellow film on the fog lights but they sent yellow instead of clear for the headlights. DOH! So, I'm gonna see if they just packed the wrong color or if my wife ordered the wrong color. I HOPE I can do this without her finding out about the mixup..

Need to get her 03 Outback inspected. probably put it in the dealership for a coupla scheduled maintenance things and have them do the insoection this time. Both cars seem to be running well but the Outback set the CEL with 3 misfire codes last week. I cleared them and they haven't coded again. Probably change the fuel filter myself and maybe get new plugs put in.

I THINK my battery in the WRX is finally getting weak. It's hard to get a battery around here to last more than 2.5-3 years.

Got some new neighbors on the block. One of then drives a Baja. Looks like from N. Carolina.

My Legacy rear wheel bearing repair turned into a disaster. Wagon is parked behind the house. Been looking around for good used rear knuckle and may have found some. Just been poking around the neighborhood in my 89 XT6. Had forgotten how well it rides. Other then that, just enjoying the summer.

**The other day, I took the Impreza for a ride around Goshen/Cornwall/Canaan section of CT. Gorgeous!

Kaboomie! Where the heck ya been?

Now, were you talking about the car, or Cornwall/Goshen/Canaan?

Been a while since I was there. Canaan used to be a bit woodsie, but we're talking 1978...

Wait...you got an excise tax bill on the CAR for $432?!?!?

We haven't had those in Mass for about 20 years!!!

We used to...

I finally got a set of ball joints for my Supra! Oh, Boy! Open roof cruising again!

If it ever stops raining...

I live in Western Mass, near the VT line. You wanna see some nice rides...

I think since last we spoke, I got a job as a Dell Factory Rep (there are three of us for W. Mass, SE VT and SW NH). I get to go on some really great rides. And Springfield is NOT in my territory! ;)

**All of that is still a bit woodsie, that's why I was cruising around up there. They are repaving 63 so that was a pain, but it'll be nice when it's done. As for Gorgeous, it was the countryside not the car. The car rides really nice, but it isn't as fun as my ex-2005 (I actually behaved myself on the backroads!). I'll probably go for another ride tomorrow or Wednesday. I just got my property tax bill for it: $432. Yay, the joys of CT.

Finally got the second engine running in my 98 forester, put insurance on it today and will drive it to work tomorrow. The last rebuild I didn't check out the PCV system, and the engine drank its oil on a 200 mile trip at night. So the heads came back off, had to rebuild the left one again and another junkyard block. I'll watch this one a bit closer.

**Well, I'm not sure if an excise tax is the same thing, but my town charges a yearly property tax on one's auto. I got the car in April
  1. In Jan 09, I paid a tax bill of 0 to make up the difference between the 05 Impreza and the 08 one. And now, I have a bill of 2 for the 08. :-/
**Keep wishin! This is the year of the non-summer.

**I went for a ride with my sister and bro-in-law that I'd like to take again. We drove north to Bish Bash Falls and then into NY, down to Millerton, NY and then back over to Litchfield County. That was an amazing drive!
**Lucky you....that Springfield is not in your territory :)

Um, I think it's Bash-Bish, IIRC, but yes, I knew the area well in my mis-spent youth! I used to live In Lenox Mass for a few years, and traverse to Upstate NY in the Lebenon Valley area, for the Drag Racing, of course!

I had a dirt bike when I lived there, it was a beat up wreck, but it NEVER left me stranded (more than 25 feet from home...) and I used to ride all over the place. I made it almost halfway to the Hudson river once. What a marvelous place to be!

When I got a job in Hartford I used to drive down Rt 8 into Winstead, and then 44 into Avon and on to Bloomfield. Long ride, but a nice one! Had an '80 Corolla back then, and racked a LOT of miles on it!

i don't like being shot at...I have a band and I told them I will NOT play in Springfield on a Friday or Saturday night, or ANY night, for that matter!

Oh, yeah. It was as fast as taking the Mass Pike to Rt 91, but without the Dexter Coffin bridge! ;)

Every once in a while 44 would back up right around...er...begins with an "F"...where "Light 100.9" is...

Watch 22 news from Springfield on Sunday mornings? Every Sat night there's a frigging shooting or stabbing!

**Whoops, Bash Bish :) Sorry.
**That is a freaking nutty ride. Did you go over Avon Mt?
**On occasion, I'd go there, but it was years ago and, even then, I didn't like it too much.
