Forester LL Bean edition

Anybody have experience with the LL Bean edition? My wife and I are looking into our first Subaru and SUV. We really like the LL Bean edition. Has all the features we are looking for. Just curious if anyone out there has one!

Thanks! M-Dog

I've had my 2005 XT for about 2 weeks now, and love it. Took it up into the nearby mountains with 2 passengers and equipment the other day. It went from 2000' to almost 7800' elevation without a problem. Many other 4 cylinder cars I have been in on that same road continually up/down shift due to the grade. The XT was flawless.

That's not the LL Bean Edition though. Still good info to know!

Keep in mind that the Outback Wagon is bigger than the Forester, and also comes in an LL Bean edition. We have an 04 and love it. The 05 is restyled, and looks to be even better. We will probably trade ours in for an 06 next year.

I have a 2003 XS Premium. I LOVE the car. No problem to report (35k on the odometer). It is a very versitile car - that is also quite fun to drive too. Also - I am getting very good gas mileage too. I am getting between

27 & 30 mpg on regular. (I have the 5 spd manual trans). Insurance too - is inexpensive comparatively to other cars. My Subuaru is 3 yrs newer than my wifes Nissan Xterra (I call it her school bus...being yellow) - and yet - her SUV is $300 more p/year to insure.

Best of luck with your purchase! Dom

I just purchased a 2005 Subaru Outback wagon (not Forester) in the LL Bean Edition. So far I love the car. I've only had it for just under 2 weeks and it has 500 miles on it so far. The inside is very nice. I love the leather, and the huge moonroof. And of course the 6 disc changer. The H6 engine rocks too. The Outback wagon is bigger than the Forester. I like the looks of the wagon better also.
