i'm looking at a 1.5L Jap-Import Impreza, how do i know for sure it is a AWD, not FWD?
which part of the VIN gives away this detail? failing that, how do i physically check it?

Physically just look underneath for a driveshaft to the rear or easier yet from the rear look for a center differential. TG
Are you sure, my Auto Forester doesn't have a center diff, only the manuals.
I'm sorry, I meant rear differential. TG
