Is OBD II used on Forester 2009-2012? If not, then what OBD ?

OBD II has been the standard in North American-market cars since 1996.

EOBD and JOBD have been the similar standards in Europe and Japan, respectively since 2001. Similar meaning almost identical to the North American OBD II, using the same physical connectors and often the same codes.
