Hi all. Looking at purchacing a 2003 Outback. Wondering if a full sized spare will fit into the space where the doughnut is currently stored?

Measure a tire for diameter and thickness and then measure the recess for the spare. My guess is the recess (and emergency spare) are narrower.
An Outback is not readily accessible to measure, hence the question. Has anyone tried fitting a full sized tire into the spare tire recess?
