1997 suburban 5.7 fuel pressure test

when i turn the key from off to run: the pressure goes up to 60 then after a few seconds it drops back to 14. when i start the vehicle: it goes to 52 and stays there. when i shut off the vehicle it drops to 14 immediately and stays there. Does anyone know if this is normal? If not, what should the readings be?

Not normal. You have either leaking injectors or a bad fuel pump. (letting the gas drain back to the tank.)

lol. Well you all ready have it figured out.1996 and later V6 and small block V8 engines - 60 to 66 psi. It should maintain 55 to 60 psi for ten to fifteen minutes with the key off.
