Maybe a coincidence -- brake lights and cruise control are out. First thing I thought was that a defective brake switch was cancelling the cruise. So I checked the bulbs, fuses, and brake switches (both off them). All are fine. Shorting the connections in the cable ends with the switches removed does nothing as well.
I would think that a malfunction in brake wiring would somehow register with the computer. Nope. No dash light indicators at all. Pushing the parking brake pedal does cause the dash brake light to come on. All other lights are fine. ABS seems to be fine.
This is a '98 Pontiac Montana Transport mini-van.
Any ideas?
