General question about rims

My little trailer uses 15" rims, as does my 91 GMC Sonoma. If I found some rims in a junkyard from a similar truck, would they fit my trailer?

Been googling like crazy, but everything I've found assumes you have a clue about what you want in this regard.

TIA

Other measurements are just as important...width and bolt pattern are vital. Don't just pick up any 15" wheels assuming they will bolt up.

Have you tried a rim from your truck on the trailer? It might very well fit. Pay close attention to the center of the wheel to make sure the rim mounts flush against the drum. If it does fit then the junkyard ones that would fit your truck will also fit the trailer. So I add to the above post, "Don't just assume that any rim that bolts up will be OK and safe." GM makes different 15" rims. Some require an offset at the bolt circle to bolt up. You'll know it's OK if you watch closely and test it.

Thanks eddy.

Don't know why I didn't think to test one of my truck wheels on the trailer, too obvious I guess...duh!

I did take some measurements, the trailer wheels seem to be 5x4.5, but the truck is 5x4.75.

I think I'll test fit my truck spare on the trailer tomorrow just to be sure.
