Wipe New

Has anyone bought and used this on paint? I just happen to have the same car in the video and also the same color. My paint is much better than the car in the video, but have a couple of spots (including the mirrors) that are fading and can't get get it to come back using other products.

Call them and ask them for an MSDS. Compare with some of the other "paint revitalizing" products like NuFinish.

My experience with products like NuFinish is that they work for a while but they don't fix the inherent problem. Then again, if you let your finish get dull and grey, it prevents kids from stealing your car.

One of the tricks used by less than honest car sales outfits is a nice coat of mop&glow on a car with dull/faded paint. Makes them shine... Till it rains a few times.....

As for any type of wipe on/spray on item to restore faded paint. I doubt it will last very long. You need to remove the damaged paint to really make a difference.

But the paint is the only thing holding the body panels together!

I posted the wrong video.

Anyway not a bad idea about the MSDS. I've used NuFinish and it doesn't do much on the problem areas that I have. Makes it look a little better, but only lasts for about a month. And it does *nothing* for the mirrors.

Hmmm.. I may consider trying this product. My '01 Ram Van is an ugly faded red except for the front hood where a telephone pole landed on it. She only has 28k on her, but looks like she has 228k.

I've owned a few like that....

Had a vehicle in here last year with "interesting" body repairs. Dodge Ram with the common rotted rockers and fender lips. The owner used a couple cans of Great Stuff foam to fill the rockers, shaped it and sanded then primed it. Told him that with all that work it would have been easier and cheaper to just buy the steel panels !!!
