08 Sienna needs new tires; recommendations?

Hi all: I've got an 08 Sienna front wheel drive LE that's going to need a new set of tires before very much longer. Would appreciate recommendations regarding mid-to-high quality brand/models that are worthy of consideration, and any that should be avoided. Objectives are to maximize gas mileage and get at-least 40-50 thousand miles of service.

Also, how are the valve stem/TPMS modules customarily handled when tires are replaced on a 2-year old Sienna with 25-30 thousand miles? Are they left alone, or do they get removed/reinstalled with new nuts/seals? Thanks for your replies!

Thanks Jeff, I would never have thought of that. Come to think of it, "rubbery" is probably another critically important requirement of which I should not lose sight.

I like Michelin MXV4 that we had on our fwd Avalon - check

for ratings for your van - when I had tires done on Highlander they replaced the tire monitors, guess its required and wasn't cheap either

I don't know where you live or what your weather conditions are, but I absolutely LOVE the Nokian WR. It's an amazing tire for a very wide range of conditions, and on top of that it's quiet and fuel efficient.

I have had the model of Michelin they sell at Costco on a few different cars and have been very happy with them. I have occasionally strayed away and regretted it each time.
