I would like to be able to remove the cross bars from the factory roof racks. I have discovered that this entails the removal of the rear roof rack endcaps. Thank you in advance for any insight or information as to how to remove these endcaps as easily as possbile.

If there are no fasteners on the end caps, they are probably just pressed into the rail. Your local Toyota dealer would probably show you how to do it.
