If you have someone in your band who's a great player, but psychologically toxic, do not share other band members' phone numbers with that individual. I have nothing more to say about this, except "Pass the ammo."

Four strings are/were good enough for Jaco, Rocco Prestia, Ron Carter, Harold Floyd, Tommy Shannon, Bootsy Collins, and a host of other major players.
Some have 4, some have 5, a few have 6. Some players like the extra string(s) mostly for speed, not so much for the lower notes.
Yeah. He dresses funny. But, he played with James Brown and we did not. He has really big gigs, and we do not.
Fender didnt make a 5 string in those years.
Never HEARD of them. Bunch of unknowns.
