Diesel fuel truck is stolen from Southwick business

SOUTHWICK, Mass. (WWLP) A diesel dilemma in Southwick as police search for a stolen tanker truck, filled with pricey fuel.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Southwick Police Sergeant Kirk Sanders says it has finally come to that. Authorities are searching for a 2,000 gallon tanker truck filled with fuel that was lifted from a logging lot, off Sam West Road.

"It's practically like robbing a bank now with the cost of fuel," said motorist Gary Reynolds. With diesel fuel running drivers an average $4.90 a gallon that means the criminals got away with nearly $9,800 worth of fuel.
