Original Tyres on an '03 Avensis

Aug 23, 2006 3 Replies

Hi All,

Just bought a used 03 Avensis and it has 3 different brands / models of tyres on it.

Was wondering what the originals would have been - it's got 205/55 R16Vs - 2 x Dunlop on the front and 1 x Continental, 1 x Pirelli on the back.

Can anyone help?

TIA

I'd be betting on the Dunlops...

What I would do is determine which out of this mess is the quietest and get a couple more...

The rear tires are for the most part along for the ride, as long as they are in good shape & the same size. If there is any question raise the rear of the car--(properly supported) and use a cloth tape measure & check the diameter of the tire. They should be with in a 1" of each other. If they are go ahead & use them The front are important & should be the same brand/size/tread style

But...but..I have RWD cars!!!
