But wouldn't google maps on a laptop be easier?

Not at all. For example, in the above sentence, the capitalization of the word capitalize is invalid. But you're just to clueless to know that.
Your post is OT and complainin, now if you want to see real jerks slam anyone with a real question go to alt.hvac
Sure, if you live in an area where there is wireless access. If you review posts from last year or so, you'll see I posted something similar. McDonald's Wireless Provider wants $2.95 PER CONNECTION, with a maximum time before you have to pay again.
When I go to Keene NH which isn't too often anymore, any parking lot in the downtown area has free wireless, so the laptop is a good idea. Amherst and Northampton MA are my other area, but I haven't carried the laptop with me there. They tell me wireless is OK in Amherst, but I know my way around there.
And then there's looking at the screen while you're driving, somewhat akin to the LCD panel in a Prius. After a few days the 'novelty' wears off, but those first few days are rough, especially if you're 'War Driving".
And, Garmin makes a package of software and an antenna you can mount on the car so your laptop becomes a GPS. Must be a monthly fee.
What I *REALLY* want to do is build a CarPuter. I'm about 1/2 way on parts...
But, I'm not too clueless to know you're "to" clueless...
If you're going to rank on someone else, make sure your ducks are in a row...
Live? Funny, you said while traveling. So you get lost near your house? Why am I not surprised.
So you have no cell towers? Too bad for you.
You mean you can only connect via wi-fi? That'd suck. Talk about being in the dark ages.
Yeah, cuz the UMASS kids would beat you and take it.
Do you always make so many ASSumptions?
Yeah? Cops get the hang of it. :)
especially if you're 'War
Wouldn't know.
Steal one from a cop.
You're welcome. I'll be sure to plant a few moore for you. Otherwise, you'll feel you're loosing and give up.
Yeah, pretty much. Those I don't I can google.
59? Damn, you do have it bad.
Uh-huh. And you bounce from wi-fi loc to wi-fi loc, reconnecting every time? Feh.
I meant your assumptions about the sort of wireless I was referring to. But of course, you're too thick to figure it out. Everything needs to be explained to you. Makes sense since your politics are all spoon fed to you.
rough, especially if you're 'War
Yet you said must be. Odd, that.
Ford advertises a hard disk. Hahahahhahahahahaha.
It's "I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken", dipshit. Can't you get ANYTHING right?
Take it easy on him. He's a traditional kind of guy, observing a tradition dating back to 2002:
"There's an old saying in Tennessee-I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee-that says, fool me once, shame on-shame on you. Fool me-you can't get fooled again."-Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2002
I haven't looked at the system, but I'm sure there must be a way into it... ;)
One fool quoting another. Help us.
You're finally calling Bush a fool. Good start.
"Hachiroku ????" .
I could make a rude joke here, but I'll be nice.

You like shaven better?
Yeah, but it's obvious that you do. Now you're just not wanting to admit it.
Poor neocon dupe. I'm not a democrat. Never was. Never will be. You, on the other hand, are slowly moving to the left. That's good. Keep up the good work.
Must have simple labels....give him simple labels. It's that binary thing, ya know?
*snerk*
I'm not the only one who went there...

You ARE. Be assured.
And I want a house on the shores of Cape Cod.
Sucks to be us.
