Purchased the Toyota platinum package on my last 2 Toyotas. I would never buy a non-manufacturer one. With cars costing 30K plus and so many more on board computers, sensors, etc. it makes sense to me. Never pay retail on the dealer extended warranty ... it is always negotiable. There are toyota dealership internet sites giving quotes on all models and prices. It gives you a starting point to deal with. I saved over $450 on each one.
