I am trying to pull off the tail light assembly on my 93 corolla to swap out the brake bulbs. I pulled out the 2 screws and the one nut, but there are 2 black fastener-looking things on the side that I cant figure out how to pull out. The owners manual doesn?t show them, and a repair manual doesn?t discuss them either. I?d hate to have to bring it to a mechanic for something so minor. He might try and sell me blinker fluid if I do. Thx

Got stop grease? Flash powder? (Sorry. Detour for silliness.)
Are you sure you need to remove the tail light assembly to change bulbs? Check to see if the socket is removable.
