1990 Camry auto idles at 500rpm when car is warmed up. Makes the car shake a little. Should this be looked after and what can be done? Thanks

P.S. Thanks for the advice for the srtuts. I just got this camry... might post a few more questions...!

  1. Tune up?
  2. Check vacuum hoses.
  3. MAP sensor?

Do the tune up and hose check first.

the 90 4 can run rough at idle, but if your timing belt is old it may have stretched ,retarding timing. It can make it idle lower and reduce milage and power dramatcly. plugs , filter etc may help-a tune up
