I got me a new 05 Camry LE. I was just curious on the idle RPM set at 900. My previous car '01 Altima is set at 700 +/-50. My other car, '04 4-Runner SR5 idle RPM is 600. I just find it odd that Camry idle speed at 900 (normal temp).

It's new and on 'break-in' so the ECU is operating in that mode. You do NOT want a low idle speed while the engine is still new and tight (pistons are lubricated by oil -thrown- from the connecting rods).

I got my 4Runner '04 also brand new but the RPM is pegged at 600rpm. Are you saying that the '05 Camry will initially operate on 900 rpm then automatically drop to lower RPM in time (say after 1000 miles?). By the way, what's the normal idle rpm (it's not stated in the manual).
NOT
