We just registered this car, after buying it last month. The previous owner said that the rear wiper sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Does anyone here know if this is more likely to be a bad connection or ground, bad switch, or bad motor with this particular model? Is it something a dealer could deal with easily, or should I take it to an independent mechanic to avoid an astronomical repair bill?

No, he just said that it worked intermitently, and when he tried it the day before, it didn't. That reminds me, though: the power windows on our '95 LE sedan don't seem to want to work sometimes when the engine is cold...
