1989 camry the front passenger side window goes up but wont go down. i changed the motor and switches (i got from a pick a part). you can hear the motor click when you do up on the switch but nothing on when going down. ill do some more checking but any ideas?

Try measuring the voltage at the motor. There might be a break in the wire. If that's the case you'll see voltage when closing the window but no voltage when opening the window. Check Autozone's free online repair guide on the schematics.

thanks. yeah i tried that and it works fine when 12v direct. it goes up and down but after changing the passenger and driver switches it now only goes up so i guess i could try getting a few more switches at pick a part and see what happenes.
IT is very common for the master switch to be bad Get a factory wiring diagram/ repair manual
