Rattle vibrating spring sound in 05 Camry

My 05 Camry has a sound when I go over vibration type surfaces the best I can describe it is like a metal spring vibrating on glass. The strange thing is that my 01 Camry and my 98 Corolla had the same noise. In those cars I thought it was the light sensor. It is especially noticalble when cold. It seems to be coming from the dash behind the radio. Anyone know what it could be? My 05 sure has a lot of dash and door squeaks, and the sunroof rattles also. These Camry's are sure not what they used to be when it comes to quiet design.

Check outside the car at the bottom of the windshield the plastic trim strip to see if it is loose. I don't know about your model Camry but it has been a problem with Avalons and pickups and Toyota doesn't give a damn. Try siliconing it down.

One of the reasons we chose our '05 Camry over Accord, Maxima, Buick, et al was that it was QUIET, including going over the rumble strips that were on the test drive that we drove all the cars on.

If it's making noise that it shouldn't make, take it back to the dealer and have them FIX it. That's what they're there for when your car is still under warranty!

Unfortunately, most dealers respond "they all do that" or add felt pads in some irrelevant places that may or may not help at all. Been there with my Avalon and done that.
