I recently posted a Q re a slight left drifting problem I'm having with a new Avalon and received a number of good and sincere responses. When I made that post I was not aware of this Camry list and since a Camry & Avalon as so closely related, maybe I should ask here also. I apologize to those who read both lists.
My 2003 Avalon - my first Toyota ever - has a slight drift to the left that is not evident except at highway speeds. It has been realigned at the dealership several times and I am told it is "within factory specs." However, on a 4-lane road and in the left lane, the car wants to drift to the left. At 60+ MPH it would hit the left ditch in about 200-300 ft if turned loose. However, when in the right lane it tracks basically straight. I have alternated the 2 front tires but no change noticed.
Is this a characteristic of a Camry/Avalon that has been experienced by others?
Thanks to those who replied on the alt.autos.toyota list and certainly you need not repeat your response here.
