steering wheel

I have a camry 1999 my steering wheel vibrates at times when I am driving. Does anyone know possible causer? roger vaede

This can be caused by a tire that's out of balance or (more seriously) an alignment problem. You shouldn't drive this car too much before you find out what's wrong.

Tires would be first bet it could be a broken belt undetectable by a pro with the wheel off. If more than 30000m on the front just replace it if balancing wont cure it. My Michelin with 30000 was like this, junk with a broken belt. You can rotate rear to front to rule it out. Other than that it gets expensive.

Have the tires rebalbanced first, then look elsewhere.

Balance them, but a broken belt often cant be detected by a pro, so you rotate them to find out, a bad shake is usualy a belt, a little shake is maybe a balance. This is all extra.

I will bet if you rotate the tires you will find it is the tire.
