I need to tap into constant 12 volt power to install ipod gadget. What is the best way to do so? I am installing a Monster Icruze and they recommend using a T-Tap connector to prevent cutting the wiring harness.
Also, is there any easy way to find/determine a constant 12 volt power wire?

The black/white wire at the cigarette lighter should be the 12v, but only when the IG is on.
That's a good source of power. It cuts power when you turn off, too.
Another source of constant power is under the driver side console, used for car alarms. The Fujitsu-Ten installation instruction should be able to tell you which ones, but these may not be fused and therefore may not be as good of a overload-protected source than the cig lighter.
You can try calling Fujitsu-Ten's 310 327-9905 fax back service to get a catalog faxed to you, then select an alarm installation instruction to help determine the power wires to use.
