I have one (base model) and the engine is a good engine. It's VERY torquey, and reasonably smooth too. The gearing is very long, about 30 mph per 1000 rpm, at 60 mph the tach says 2,000 rpm. It's rated at 164 hp but the torque is fine all over the place. It will definitely keep up with the traffic.
