22Re stalling ???'s....

Does anyone know what would make a 22RE engine run fine but then stall when it comes to a stop from highway-speeds? When it does this there's a funny "clicking" sound coming from under the passenger-side of the dash, clicks a few times, truck runs rough, and then stalls. I can fire it right back up and continue on at city-speeds but it takes a few seconds for it to smooth out but doesn't stall out after that, until I repeat the high-to-slow speed drive in it. I also noticed when I sometimes(not all) shift into 4x4-at slow speed-it will do exactly the same thing. What could the clicking be under the passenger dash? Relays?? Is there a potential battery problem?? It does corrode at the terminals often but looked fine when it just checked it. I do know that the weather here was very cold(5 below zero) when this problem first occurred. The engine just received a tune-up about a month ago so maybe I bought something bad?? Could be with all the junk coming outta China nowadays...well, eggrolls aren't bad I guess.
