I'm trying to replace the alternator in my 86' Toyota Pickup (22R Carb). I was able to get the two bolts out, but I can't get the alternator out, so I can put in the replacement. I've tried every path I think it would go out, without have to remove the radiator hoses. I've read on some pages on the web the alternator falls right out, but not in this case. Above it is the powersteering pump and to the side is the steering shaft.
What's the easiest way to get this thing out?
TIA
