Does it work using the inside switch (assuming there is an inside switch) ?

My information says there are a "blue with black stripe" wire and a "blue with yelow stripe" wire going to the rear window motor from the power window relay.

Unfortunatly I do not know where the relay is located. I'd say the best idea, if you can not identify the relay, would be to double check your fuses then next go have a look at the power situation/continuity at the motor end of the wires. Good luck.

Lubricate the window channels sparingly with silicone, make sure the window isn't cocked and jammed, try pulling up on the glass as someone else pushes the switch. Make sure the window tracks haven't rusted away.

If you've checked everything else and are still stumped, here's a hint...

The 4Runners with the removable fiberglass roof have a safety switch on the bolts that hold the roof on the car body. Take the special longer switch bolt out, or put it back in the wrong hole, and the tailgate window will not go up.

Try help it with your hands pulling down on the glass.

If its the motor seizing up it will help, then lube the trakcs/runners.
