My '88 pickup's bed is starting to rust, pretty sad. I've seen posts that were reposted in the past. Really bad. Examples are:

Does anyone have one of these? What is the concensus on whether they're any good, quality, durability, improvement over steel bed, etc?

Before you invest check your frame for rust. I put a wooden flat bed on my '84 which I was very happy with untill I discovered the frame rusting through. I could squeeze the ftame right under the extracab and feel it give big time. I sold it to a guy that thought he could fix it, if not, he sure got some good parts. I've heard of several others doing the same thing too.

You can use a 89 bed. May be cheaper. Put one on my 86--bolts right on.
