Ah, the old Sekiri-key, you must be in the southwest or southeast part of the country, ie gulf states etc.

Yes, it came with it, but its not factory.

It may not be a factory system, usually the little button on (under?) the dash are for programming options, entering emergency override codes, or verifying the led is working...

stick your head under the dash, find the little black box and see what it says on it - if it is aftermarket - I may be able to help you. If not good luck!

Have you tried disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a bit to reset everything? The button that locks the doors often also arms the system, and the unlock button usually disarms, or there will be one button that does all of the above - press it once to arm/lock, press it again to disarm/unlock.

Are you sure it is an "alarm" and not just a keyless entry?

I have alarms on several of my vehicles, but have no sirens...cheap keyless entry system!

Mike

I feel certain it is an alarm, as it honks and flashes for what seems like forever if the wrong button is pressed (the cure seems to be to put the key in the ignition and then it stops). As I bought it used, I can't comment on aftermarket, etc. I will get someone to look under there, I'm not flexible enough! I think that it is quite possible that the two buttons turn on/off the alarm as well as lock/unlock. I guess I will have to experiment in some out of the way place! Thank you.

We have no info on these, they are unique to the gulf states or southeast regions. We did get the factory to authorized a full RS 3200 replacement when one failed after they moved up here. That guy loads up every Toyota with $4000 worth of garbage on every car. If MSRP is

20,000, you'll get it for $24,000. Call a dealer in the area, they may have more info than I.
