All little dimming of headlights is normal when idling, especially when there are other electric componenets working, e.g. ac clutch, fan, lights and etc. If they dim a lot then you have a problem somewhere in charging system or headlight system. HTH, davidj92

If its when revs are above 1300 ish get your chargeing system checked. If its only on idle thats normal.

battery voltage should be around 13.8 when everythings turned on and over

1300 revs. Much less than that you have chargeing issues. Dont take your idle voltage as gospel. Should be static of around 12.5-13, engine idleing with no load around 13.3-13.8 and with higher revs and not loaded around the 13.8-14.3. Hope that helps you out.

Go to Radio shack and buy yourself a $10 voltmeter and have a play.
