Your owner's manual probably lists what's required. I just use a moly-fortified general purpose grease in mine.

Look for a NLGI #2 consistency grease rated GC (wheel bearings) and LB (chassis). This will probably be lithium complex base. If you want, you can get a grease that uses a synthetic oil in it. If it has top quality molybdenum disulfide, that's good. If it is less than top quality, it can damage antifriction bearings (ball, roller, & needle). For frigid winter conditions, get a #1 grease with synthetic oil in it.

Grease is a mixture of a base thickener and oil. Think of the thickener as something like a sponge. The pores of the thickener hold the oil, and the oil does the actual lubrication. The National Lubricating Grease Institute sets the standards for grease. Lithium complex base is widely available, low cost, does a good job, moderately waterproof, and compatible with many other bases (but not all). Chemically, the thickener is similar to soap, so you may see some of these greases listed as having a lithium soap base. It has nothing to do with Ivory soap.
