Bad luck bug

Over the past two months my formally very reliable Bug has become an albatross. It starter with the carb LPG plug dropping out causing a vacuum leak of epic proportions. Luckily it happened in front of the house and I was able to find the plug, put it back in and permanently peen it into place. Two weeks later i was drivign to get parts for another Bug I own and the points nylon rider snapped off while on the freeway. Luckily, I had another set in the car so I installed it and went on my way. 10 miles down the road my right rear tire blew. I could get all the lugs off but one. Called a tow but befroe they got there a Highway Patrolman rolled upa dn loaned me a lug wrench and I was on my way before the tow showed. Went to get the flat fixed and discovered both my rear tires were cracked so had to replace them. Then, last week the starter went out... A little too much VW excitement.

Chances of all that happening at once are so low that maybe you should start playing the lottery. Well, the tires are no excuse. You really should have noticed that - and I won't tell you about the time I took my Autobahn Bike out of storage for a good ride without checking the tires. :)

Offfffff, I did that two years ago. Its the stuff that I didnt' replace that is coming back to bite me in the derrier.
