Pulling a Chasis with a Bug Tow?

The only Bug I have towed with my Bug Tow was a 66 with no Engine. My friend doing the driving said it did ok but would have been better with a engine. I want to remove my Engine out of my 68 to look at it and to remove the body to prerpair the floor pans. But will need to tow the chasis a little ways to where they will be welded on and a littler farther to a friends house who has a Car Stand. That way I can get to the rear rubber hoses on the brakes. Having a hard time with the car just on jack stands. Am I going to have any toruble towing just the Chasis 10 minutes away or should I leave the engine and Body on while towing?

Thanks Steven

It will be a little bouncy due to no weight but at reasonable speeds I don't see a problem. See how the steering (on the pan) reacts going around a corner and whether it straightens itself.

Just hope you don't get stopped by gendarmes...

The chassis (or rolling pan) will tow just fine. I turned one of my rolling pans into a trailer to haul some 6x8 fence panels & the front wheels tracked the tow vehicle normally. Got a lot of looks, too.
