i have a running 1957 36HP engine and an additional 36HP Judson supercharger with pullys and jar. i would trade for a nice 1600 or bigger engine. i had the 36hp for a 57 i had plans on building, but i am getting rid of it for another vw. i am located in Ft.Worth, TX.my email is snipped-for-privacy@aol.com . i will also keep checking this post for responses.

i had a couple of emails from guys wanting to buy the supercharger by itself. i paid $600 for the Judson. i really need a really good engine for a 68 bug. i would have to get what i paid for it to sell it. thats why i said trade instead, i know $600 isnt a great deal.
..................I think that if you're patient, the right deal will come your way. A running 36 hp engine with a judson is getting hard to find these days. I know that if I had a fifties era bug that I'd be at least interested. A used but still good running 1600 is probably about comparable in value.
I'd swap him a running 1600 for the Judson setup if it was complete on its own... But I guess I would not be the only one..
Jthe judson is missing the air cleaner, mounting brackets and original marvel jar( i think). its all available repro. if you want to trade for a good 1600, im up for it. i just need my car on the road.
To bad I'm on top of the world....

i think my judson is sold on the Samba.i will know for sure tonight. i still have a running 36hp for sale. i listed it as a 1957 before, but i checked the numbers and it is a 1958 engine.
