hey guys been tryin to do a new wiring harness in my 65 bug. ive got the two big red wires coming off the starter going to what i assume are the correct places- #30 on the igniton and #50 on the light switch. I can hit the key and the motor turns over but theres no juice to the fuse block. i also ran the needed wire from #30 on the igniton and the light swith to the last post on the fuse block and still nothing. test light shows nothing either. shouldnt those two wires be hot since there coming off the starter? what am i doing wrong?,,,HELP !!

There may be two Red wires from the starter, but they are _not_ the same; you can't just use either one.
You *must* find out which Red wire is the Hot with your test light. That Red wire goes to Term #30 on the Headlight sw (there is no #50).
Term #30 on the Headlight sw *also* goes to the last fuse and then to Term #30 on the Ignition sw.

The other Red wire comes from the solenoid on the starter. The *only* place it goes is Term #50 on the Ignition sw.
This Red wire should be slightly skinnier than the Hot Red wire.

gasp - 2 large wires!? do you mean 2 12 gauge wires - there is ONE large wire from starter not 2! unless of course my brain is failing again >Grin<
on the backside of that fuse block should be a tab for the positive wire! the tab with the long bar attached to one side of all the fuses.
no - that big 6 gauge cable should be hot - goes directly to the battery!
