Generator /alternator stand

Hello NG! I bought a used 1600 ccm engine from a early 1303 with an alternator instade of a generator (as my old 1300 ccm engine) Now i'm dissembling the tin/doghouse and other stuff to change back to my "old" generator. Is the any difference in heigh etc og the generator/alternator stand?

BTW: I bought the 1600 ccm enginge without a caburettor. So until later i will drive with my old 31 PICT -3 caburettor. BUT it doesn't fit on the intale manifold. Has the 34 PICT more stance between the to 8 mm studs? Or has somebody tampered with the intake manifold. I see a bit of welding material on the flange of the intake manifold.

Greetings from Denmark.... Michael

Height is the same, but the alternator stand is shaped differently, to make room for the BIG end of the alternator body. The alternator cannot be installed with a generator stand, but the generator CAN be installed on an alternator stand.

The 34mm carb had it's own intake manifold, and you are right, the bolt spacing is bigger.

There are adapters available for mounting the smaller 30 and 31 carb on that manifold. But in my opinion that's just stupid. It's too small, the

1600 should have the 34.
