Had to pull the engine out of the super beetle again tonight. Working alone it took me one hour twenty minutes to pull the engine out, get it out from under the car, and take it apart. Alternator, less than
500 miles on it, noisy rear bearing.
Anyway...the reason I am posting..I need the cooling flaps for a 1600 dual port engine. I have a nice set of flaps with the downrod, return spring, bracket, and so on, as a matched up set, for a non-doghouse engine. Anyone want to trade? Please email me...I'd like to kill two birds with one stone here and put the cooling system back in good working order while the opportunity is here.
Also need the special dual-preheater intake manifold tinware pieces that seal off around the opening between the rear tin and the cylinder tin. I've yet to see that part in person. Some ass-hat threw them away probably 5 owners ago......anyone have one they want to part with? How about bumper shocks for a 74 super, all the way around? I need those too...
