..................Sounds doable but it's going to be a bear during braking & cornering with an engine & tranny that weighs more than the rest of the car. Those 340's are heavy! You know a rechipped Maxima engine could get more than 350 hp and save you maybe 300 lbs. Just a thought.

Heck the STOCK 340 made 340 hp, & 340 ft. lbs. of torque! Plus the 340's are virtually *indestructable*! I used to run this engine in a 3-speed Roadrunner ('71 model), speed shifting @ 7,000 rpm without lifting the throttle. Yeah I missed a shift on occasion, & you could *really* hear those valves float! Never hurt it at all. Think the Maxima engine could handle that? With a 323 rear the stock Roadrunner topped out at 140 mph (with the air grabber open), & could do the 1/4 right at 13. As for the 340 being heavy, it's not that bad. With the aluminum intake & tube fenderwell headers, & the way it sits back a little as opposed to most cars, plus the battery moved to the trunk, the rollbar, & the front weight reduction with all the fiberglass, it should be balanced pretty well. ~ Paul aka "Tha Driver"

..................That's true. I guess I'm just a big fan of the current generation 3 liter V6 that's in Maximas and 350Z's. It really is a blast riding in a 3000+ lb. car that can put a grin on your face. Aside from it's rated HP, Nissan has figured out how to broaden the power band better than many other makes, I think. Once you hit 2500 rpm under WOT.........WHOA NELLIE!

probably not...a brain bucket is to protect your brain...you probably won't need it....LOL...anyway i ride with fullface helmet and at minimum(reguardless of how frigging hot it is) a leather riding jacket and gloves...i also have a nice set of thick chaps that i usually only use when i will be riding some distance(i know not exactly smart since most accidents happen "close to home".) and *YES* im an organ donor... Where's that body kit from? Was it a factory option?

I've used the tool that you hit with a maul and have a friend use a breaker bar at the same time. It works very well if you know how to use the" hammer tapping method" and not the "beat the s*it out of it method" to remove and install the nut.

Motorsport. They've been bought out & are going through changes, the extent of which I have no idea. I think they're continuing to sell most of the stuff in their catalog, though.
