Hi ramva! long time without posting. I've been busy as hell at work, but still taking time to fix my acvw's. In the nex couple of weeks I'll post some pics of the new paint on the standard.
There's a new bug I got my eyes on. A 98 mexibeetle with A/C. The bug is in almost perfect state, except for an engine fire. I have a spare stock 1600 DP with a 34 Pict, and I'm seriously thinking about reviving the mexi. Is it too difficult to swap the whole engine fot the Carbureted one and still keep the A/C or does it fit only the FI? If not, is there a way to adapt all the A/C parts (with few mods) to make it work with the carbureted one? If necesary, i can put in a couple of IDF's to make it fit. Can I use the electric fuel pump (if still usable) that comes with the FI version?
