Relax Queen, the correct response was "Yeah, but I had to pay seven bucks for shipping and handling." I do believe that Chris was just agreeing with you in a funny sorta way. Hmmm...I haven't replaced my clutch cable lately. Maybe I should consult my financial advisor....

and i was...to a point....

5.39 in my local autoparts store...6.something from aircooled.net..i replaced mine when i swapped my 68's floorpan as preventative maintenance....and check it out, as most vw owners i keep a spare....i have *never* had to replace a broken clutch cable(i usually replace it when i buy the car, they are cheap as are the throttle cables) and i have always run kenedy pressure plates....but when/if i do have one break i will pull into the nearest/safest parking lot and spend 7 minutes to replace it with the spare i carry....

i'm not at all stressed, mike. chris doesn't like me, and that's just fine with me. my sarcasm over the cost of my clutch cable is based on a thread from a few weeks ago.

i didn't have to pay a dime to have the part shipped because all i had to do was walk over to kragen and pick it up. and i don't have to pay to have it installed because maintenance on my car is what i get instead of alimony.

his agreement or disagreement with me means less than nothing to me. he's not even amusing as someone to troll - he's just not smart enough to be fun.

you might need a second mortgage. be careful!
