.....................uh.......Bill?............You're going to translate it for us aren't you? It's true that some of those Swedish words are at least similar to the English counterparts. If it were Finnish, not one of them would look familiar.
They "think" it must be something like "art". But those shoes were in the middle of nowhere.
Where did you get the idea that the finders were hunters?
Some words are similar. Picked some from the article
r=F6d - red trafik - traffic sko - shoe fylla - fill l=E5ngt - long f=F6rsta - first =F6ver - over
But that was almost all similar words that there is in the article. Swedish and German have more similarities than English and=20 Swedish.

De 140 skorna, alla fyllda med smör, står snyggt uppställda på fjälltoppen Getryggen i Jämland. = 140 shoes all filled with butter...on Mt. Getryggen in Jaemland. Men skorna står där, gympadojor, sandaler, = many kinds of shoes were there, sneakers, sandals,...
It also says some "artist" named Yu Xiuzhen put up a work called "Shoes with butter" in Tibet...but apparently this was a hack. Where will he strike next?

Right, I'd have expected a word like jäger, but what the heck were they doing out in the middle of nowhere? Hunting for shoes? Hmmm?
Article says:
"Det =E4r ett par timmars vandring p=E5 fj=E4llet, ganska = sv=E5rtillg=E4ngligt,=20 s=E4ger Inger Lundell." Hon fann skorna i l=F6rdags tillsammans med=20 sin sambo Hans M=E5nstr=F6m.
"It is a two hour hike on the fells, quite hard terrain to walk, says Inger Lundell." She found the shoes on saturday together with her flat mate, Hans M=E5nstr=F6m.
And the other article: =
The finding, which was in good condition, was made by a hiker/trekker =
on sunday.
Huh, my Swedish is a bit rusty.
