Not sausages - What is the easiest way -in MS IE & Outllook Ex- to use URL links that go into two lines when posted? I've been typing them in but that is SO tedious! :o)

I just copy and paste. First one half, then the other-- to put them back together.

Rather than posting long links, folks can shrink that link by taking it to tinyurl.com. Just paste it in and let them do their voodoo.

On Sat, 08 May 2004 13:37:23 -0700, "Mike Rocket J. Squirrel Elliott" ran around screaming and yelling:

i just copy and paste the entire link at once...never been a problem...no need to do it in two stages JT

If you use Outlook Express for you news reader, click on TOOLS, then OPTIONS, then the SEND tab, under the News Sending Format click on Plain Text Settings and the set the "Automatically wrap text at" . Set it to something like 120 characters. When you post a message with a long link it will all stay together even if it wraps around. People reading the post won't have to copy and paste two different sections.

You can always use tinyurl.com to convert those unwieldy links to something easier.

Or hugeurl.com if you're feeling inadequate.
