PSI on your bug?

Hi: I'm the proud owner ;-) of a brasilein 1300L bug. Mainly I use it in "city roads" (Here in Chile love tarmac in road), but I also use it in rural road (a little mud, a little dirt) So the cuestion is, what pressure (in PSI) do you recomend to put on my bug? (in the wheels ;-))

28? 29?

Thanx !

On the road I use 20 on front and 30 (165/15 tires on stock rims) Joao

72 Super 1302

VW recommended 17 front and 26 rear but that was in the days of cross ply tyres - a little higher works best for radial ply tyres.

I have used 20psi front and 28 psi rear for over 30 years now with good results - ride not to bouncy, good handling and low tyre wear.

Remember, they are light cars (and lighter at front than rear) so the modern car pressures of 32-35 are not needed.
