Re: Looks like my neighborhood...

I can't watch the video right now and maybe it shows it there. But my question is can you see the tree house from the front of the house standing on the street or is it hidden by trees in the backyard? Couldn't they find some sort of comprimise and build another fence or get a tree there or something. That seems like the most retarded thing. If I kid can't have a tree house how do they deal with your baja?

I saw the news article while I was at work today and then I looked up the street address online since they mentioned the owners' names (I noticed they specified the name of my neighborhood) and I found that they were on the same street as I am. When I came home I drove right past my house and looked CLOSELY to try to see this treehouse. I couldn't see it at all from the road. I came home and showed my kids the article and as I was showing them the video they have online we all saw my youngest son, Billy, climbing in the treehouse on that online video. He loves to climb. :-) He's the one with the striped shirt. The kids pointed out that it's the house three doors down. I think it's crazy. As for my baja, they can't say anything about it because it's licensed, has passed inspection, and runs just fine. A phrase comes to mind.... (almost a direct quote).... ".....pry my VW keys from my cold, dead hands...." They'll "deal with my baja" as you put it exactly like anyone else would. "With envy." ;-) Not to leak any information here, but rumor has it that a friend of mine told me recently about another system of trails that *NEEDS* to be CONQUERED by the LCB... ;-) As always.... Stay tuned, TRUE BELIEVERS!!!

No disrespect if I misunderstand where you are coming from, but WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE! Since when did the innocent, healthy iterests of children become a Bad Thing?

Some folks tried to warn you travis.............

You didn;t listen,.................Now you'll have even more fun.

It really saddens me that folks have to be that way about things.

Kids are worth much more than the neighborhood associations are.

Which is why I choose to do without the neighborhood associations...

(but if anyone ever decides to complain about my collection of cars and miscellaneous junk, I'll then give them something they really would want to complain about, but would have no legal leg to stand on! My solution would make the legendary Camo Baja look positively attractive!:~)

On the same subject, here is a guy in a homeowners association that had to pay $11,000 in legal fees because of a garbage can. Hopefully the link will not just work for people on AOL, but not sure.

Very true, which is why many here state outright that they choose never to live in such a neighborhood.

I won't ever live in a town or city again. Rural life is great. To bad the city is building our way and even annexed last year. Going to have to move again as I can't stand it anymore.

I hear ya. My point was that it sucks, yes, but if one does not want to lose one's house, one should read one's paperwork a tad more closely and don't bitch when one gets caught. One is very busy these days. :)

1 or 2 mid sized ones. Couple more smaller ones and it's all small after that.
