Re: Loose nut????

I just removed the oil strainer from the bottom of my 1600 to clean and

You are okay. There is no nut inside the engine. Locktite should do the trick. Red Locktie is best there.

Ummmm. On the 1600, there *is* one long stud and it has a nut on the topside to secure the oil pickup pan/tube. If that flops around, it will pull out of its mooring and the pump will suck air.
